ARABIX offers
Summer Arabic language program in the Old City of Damascus/Syria
July 2010
ARABIX has been offering Arabic language programs for six years and this year we are expanding our classes to the month of July to be able to accommodate students from the United States.
What to expect:
Effective language training combined with the immersion into an authentic Syrian environment.
Date: 07/01/2010 until 07/29/2010
Price: $ 615 (Students: $490)
This includes:
- 100 lessons at 45 minutes each (Standard Arabic)
- Course material
- Airport pick-up
- Introduction tour through the old city
Language classes:
Several levels are offered. Our classes combine the teaching of the four skills speaking, listening, reading and writing, with the focus being on speaking as from our experience that is what most students come to Syria for! The course is based on Al-Kitab, the popular book of instruction at American universities, but additional material is used.
The school is located at a maximum 15-minute walking distance from your home.
Optional at extra cost:
- Private lessons (Standard Arabic or Syrian dialect): $12 for a 45-minute lesson
- Trips throughout Syria (Bosra, Crac des Chevaliers, Sednaya, Deir Marmusa, MaŽlula, Aleppo)
Accommodation:
You can stay with a family or share a house with other students. All of our accommodation is within the old city.
Price single room: $ 245
Price shared room: $ 185
